Transforming Leadership – A journey we can all share in different ways!
How can we transform the way we lead?
Does it require the ability to inspire and support others, the courage to have tough conversations, or the insight to know and develop yourself? Based on our ongoing interactions and learning from people we work with, it seems that it is all of these and more.
Sharing our learning about leadership
Currently, we’re developing our ‘Essentials of Transforming Leadership’. The jigsaw diagram below highlights our 12 ‘Essentials’. As well as fitting together into one whole document, each section is stand alone.
Interested to dive in? Start the journey in Chapter 1 with insights into what we mean by transforming leadership. Chapter 2 explores the first three essentials:
If you would like a one stop shop with all of these, click here. Like all our resources we will keep improving them. They are never ‘finished’. We are committed to weaving in new learning resulting from our work with clients and partners over time and other sources.
We're also in the final stages of developing our Caplor House App – another step in supporting people's leadership journeys.
Our Transforming Leadership Programm
In April, Rosie and Lorna travelled to Udaipur, India for the launch of Secure Meters’ Transforming Leadership Programme. This brought together 96 people across the business. This is the first time such an initiative has been undertaken by Secure and is part of a year-long programme covering a wide range of leadership topics.
This in-person training has been designed to focus on experiential learning and ‘learning by doing’. One of the participants on the programme commented: “It was a great session. I learnt a lot of new things which will help us in our future goals. I look forward to practicing them in day-to-day life and eagerly await the next sessions.”
Secure Meters provide smart energy solutions, such as advanced electricity meters and energy management systems. These help reduce energy waste and support a more sustainable future for homes and businesses around the world.
During the same visit, Rosie and Lorna also worked with Dharohar, a long-term partner. Dharohar is a not for profit that develops curiosity and engages communities to stimulate lifelong learning through educational and cultural initiatives.
It is a Foundation established by the family that own and lead Secure Meters. Lorna said: "It is great to have the opportunity to work both with the business and the not-for profit, strengthening leadership capability is as relevant to both sectors. Dharohar are growing rapidly, and it is a privilege to be part of their development process".
Strategy & Rebranding Webinar – Thank You!
A big thank you to the 40+ people who joined our recent strategy and rebranding launch webinar. It was wonderful to share our evolving direction and hear your reflections. We hope that you enjoyed it. We are happy to share the recording and slides for those that missed it and are intrigued to find out more.
“In a growth mindset, challenges are exciting rather than threatening. So rather than thinking, oh, I'm going to reveal my weaknesses, you say, wow, here's a chance to grow.”
– Carole Dweck
