Developing Leadership

Caplor Horizons designs and delivers bespoke leadership development opportunities for organisations.

We believe that everyone is a leader. We work to enable people to understand, build on and maximise their strengths to become authentic and skillful leaders. Our flagship programme, that we tailor-make to suit each organisation we work with, is called the Caplor House Programme. Click here to find out more.

Caplor Horizons has a strong working relationship with United Purpose, an international NGO that strives to end poverty and inequality across the globe. In December 2018 Caplor Horizons produced two illustrative learning papers on revolving loan schemes and social accountability for UP’s flagship resilience project in Malawi.  Furthermore over the next 3 years, Caplor Horizons is working with six women’s marketing federations in The Gambia to help build their capacity and resilience. A Caplor Horizons’ Advisor is also providing coaching to the Country Director of the Brazil Programme in Recife.

Caplor Horizons created a series of six sessions with the Programmes and Partnerships Team at All We Can as part of our team’s leadership training and development programme. The series was insightful and it has provided us with shared language as a team.

We were extremely inspired and appreciated the input of lauded experts who ran the ‘Master Classes’ including Lord Paul Tyler, Dr Peter Moore and Samson Hailu. Each of these Advisors at Caplor Horizons, added unique learning nuggets that we will continue to reflect upon and apply in our work for a very long time.

The diversity of expertise that Caplor Horizons brings through their network of experts, and the application of their distinctive tools and resources, including the Caplor House model, has enabled them to provide specific and targeted support to a wide range of teams in the region.

The work ICHA has done together with the CaplorHorizons’ team has been impactful. It has generated a buzz within the Red Cross Movement. The model of training that the programme has taken has been talked about in various African countries. I am very hopeful that it can grow and inform how the Red Cross Movement views leadership, as an important factor in improving our performance worldwide.
