Developing Influence

As well as individual and organisational change, Caplor Horizons helps to support societal change. Our work on influence has included a number of national and international level events where we aim to collaborate with other like-minded organisations and share learning and ideas for achieving a sustainable future.

Below are some examples of our work on developing influence.

On behalf of the Board of Directors and staff of The Centre on Philanthropy, I would like to express our sincere appreciation to Caplor Horizons for the outstanding presentations ‘Empowerment through Capacity Building’ and ‘Accelerating Progress through Successful Collaboration’ they gave at our ‘Building Hope’ Third Sector Conference.

The conference was attended by approximately 200 people and both workshops were full. Their contribution was insightful and compelling throughout, and judging from the many comments of those who attended, the presentations were very well received.

Our expectations were exceeded!

Dóchas worked with Caplor Horizons to facilitate a special meeting of our Board. The day proved to be a huge success, with many of the Directors commenting on the great pace of the day, the sensitive way the decisions were facilitated, and the energy and creativity that Ian and Lorna brought to the sessions. We were very pleased and highly recommend Caplor Horizons.

We were delighted to partner with Caplor Horizons to run an event for the third sector on sustainability and leadership.

The RCE is a public engagement network that focuses on connecting people and organisations across all sectors, with partners based at the University, to advance their shared interests in collaborating to bring about change towards sustainable development.

We had such great feedback and could tell that it had really met needs for our partners who are facing very challenging times.
